The Willburg buffer / wide belt system is designed to collect flats or pots so they can be picked up and moved with a set of transport forks to the area where they are to be nested. This increases the efficiency of the whole line, allowing smooth flow of pot material, handled normally by a single operator, saving time, money and effort. The system can be designed to fit the customer needs for length up 40 feet by 6 feet 6 inches wide.
The buffer conveyor belt is stopped from running when pots are removed from the belt with the transport/ spacing forks and if the belt is completely filled with pots by means of an electric eye. The complete frame is powder coated and the surface on which the conveyor belt is running is made of steel. The mechanical push-over unit pushes the pots over from the built in positioning conveyor onto the wide conveyor belt. The displacement of the wide belt is measured by an encoder on the drive shaft (this assures exact measuring). By using the keyboard (PLC touch screen) you can change the pot size to another pot size. Also you have the ability to space your container plants on the wide belt. In the PLC you can store 20 different programs.

This special push-over system pushes the pots from the built-in belt conveyor onto the transport trailers with which the pots are then removed by transport forks or by hand. The transport trailers are automatically driven by a floor-mounted system of chains. A large display allows setting of the required size of pot, with 25 preset programs. The pusher is mechanical, i.e. the pusher arm is easy to adjust and increases safety, featuring a 2 m belt conveyor and an upstream accumulator. Almost all common plant trays can now be destacked with Demtec’s simple DTC10 destacker. It is a universal equipment that can easily handle a large range of trays. If required, we provide customized knives to destack more specific trays. Our destacker for recuperation trays helps with the really difficult to destack trays.
The destacking of pots in shuttle trays (trays whereof the upper edge of the tray is at the same height as the pot edge) is done without stopping the tray. The pot is put into the tray while the tray moves underneath. This way, high speeds can be reached. This simple technique is extremely time saving. Destacking of liners in baskets or trays requires a special technique. The liners just fit into the basket, therefore the entire pack is placed in one movement. Demtec has developed an easily adjustable and universal destacker that can be used for all pot sizes. The number of pots that is destacked can be set variably. An essential automation for those using this cultivation method.
Traditional plant cultivation crates for soil blocks can very quickly be destacked (or stacked) using a demtec destacker. The destacker uses the simple principle of 2 ‘hands’ lifting the stack and remove the lower crate. This tested method is applied for all crate heights, for random stacking heights and for various applications (blocking lines, wash lines, etc.). A single acting destacker has a maximum capacity of 750 crates/hour, a double acting one deals with a maximum of 1,000 crates/hour.
